To the Memory of Mr. James Boise There are some who, in your lives, cause enormous growth and appreciation for life. Jim Boise was a man of that nature. His determination to mold and shape us into musicians extraordinaire, cause a great impact upon the lives of those who sat under his musical and personal direction. This page is dedicated to his memory and the memories of so many good times spent in our short but memorable musical careers as high school musicians. I was one of those individuals and I can say his influence caused me to enjoy and appreciate all music with fervor and joy! Thank you Jim! Doug Chamley
On the 30th Anniversary graduation of the Dell Rapids High School Class of 1971, this reissued album is dedicated to James Boise. A word of thanks and gratitude is also due to our parents, who gave needed support and endured many hours of groaning, complaining and whining about our minutes of daily practice we put in during our attempts to become budding musicians. All of us who participated in the high school band under the direction of Mr. Boise received more than just an exposure to music of all types. For many years Mr. Boise taught small town kids how to be a part of an organization that was the showpiece in many marching demonstrations and performances. People say there are always one or two teachers who make a difference in a child's life. Jim Boise was for many of us, one of those special teachers. Thanks JB! Steve Sittig
